Megyn Kelly Urges Taylor Swift Boycott After Gaza Fundraiser: Swift’s Participation Ignites Heated Debate.

Outspoken podcaster Megyn Kelly has ignited a heated debate by urging a boycott of Taylor Swift following the pop star’s participation in a fundraiser aimed at providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. Swift, who recently achieved a major milestone with her “Eras Tour,” attended comedian Ramy Youssef’s “More Feelings” tour at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where proceeds supported the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA).

On the latest episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly criticized Swift for her involvement and suggested that she owes an apology to Israelis and Jewish Americans. Kelly argues that Swift’s attendance at the event, which supports a cause she deems politically biased, was inappropriate. She called for a boycott of Swift’s events until an apology is issued, claiming that Swift’s participation reflects a serious misunderstanding of the situation.

Kelly’s comments have sparked a strong reaction. Podcast guest Andrew Klavan doubted that Swift would face substantial backlash, citing her significant influence. Klavan also expressed his preference for celebrities to stay out of political debates and focus on their music.

Supporters of Swift argue that attending a comedy show does not equate to endorsing the fundraiser’s political stance. They point out that other celebrities who attended the event, such as Selena Gomez and Anya Taylor-Joy, have not faced similar criticism. Swift’s fans emphasize that the real credit for the donations goes to Youssef, who directly supports the cause through his tour.

In response to Kelly’s claims, ANERA’s website clarifies that the organization does not coordinate with Hamas, a group designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government. Critics argue that Kelly’s accusations are unfounded and that Swift’s involvement in the event was simply a matter of supporting a charitable cause rather than a political statement.
